The city of Cremona has long been recognized as the heart of fine violin making, and I am delighted to announce my participation in Cremona Musica 2026 (2nd-4th October). I warmly invite musicians, collectors, colleagues, and violin enthusiasts to visit me at Stand 103bis, where I will present three newly crafted instruments inspired by some of the greatest masterpieces in violin-making history.
This year’s collection celebrates the timeless work of Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri “del Gesù”, whose instruments continue to inspire generations of makers and performers.
Stradivari “Forma P” Model
The first violin is based on the renowned Stradivari Forma P model. Appreciated for its elegance, balance, and versatility, this design has become one of the most admired examples of the Cremonese tradition. My interpretation seeks to capture the clarity, refinement, and projection that have made Stradivari’s work legendary.
Guarneri del Gesù 1735 Model
The second instrument is inspired by a Guarneri del Gesù violin from 1735. This period represents a fascinating stage in Guarneri’s artistic development, characterized by a powerful voice combined with remarkable warmth and character. The model reflects the maker’s growing individuality and offers a rich, expressive sound suitable for demanding musicians.
Guarneri del Gesù 1742 Model
The third violin follows a Guarneri del Gesù 1742 model, one of the master’s most celebrated mature-period designs. Known for its exceptional depth, strength, and personality, this model has been favored by many great soloists. My goal was to preserve its distinctive spirit while creating an instrument capable of inspiring today’s performers.
A Meeting of Tradition and Craftsmanship
Each violin has been entirely handcrafted using carefully selected tonewoods and traditional construction methods. Great attention has been dedicated to every stage of the process, from the choice of materials to the final varnishing, in pursuit of both beauty and musical excellence.
